Tomorrow is the official Holiday for Gratitude!!!!!
Posted by admin on
So I’ve been thinking of all the things I have to give thanks for, and I realize, if I really focus on things I am grateful for and things in my life I appreciate, It can become a never ending list.
I’ve been randomly looking for things to appreciate for about a week or two consistently, and now I’m thinking it might be a good idea to just take 5 minutes each morning and focus on things I’m grateful and appreciative for. Just the fact that I’m breathing is something to appreciate, so I don’t have to look far for that.
I’ve done this before, I used to meditate at the end of the night and before my meditation, I would spend about 3-4 minutes just saying thank you for the things that happened during the day, and the things and people in my life.
I think that this would be a good exercise year round, rather than just for us to do when we are reminded by tragedy or holidays, funny how those two times can be so sad, yet cause such gratitude and focus on the things we have.
So, I’m putting this out there, and I hope you will join me. I’m going to spend the next couple of weeks giving thanks for the things I have in my life, and the places I’m going. I will spend about 5 minutes per day minimum just appreciating all the good I see in my life.
Not only will this focus my mind on positive aspects every day, but I think these “rampages of Appreciation” will really yield some fantastic results in my life. I’m looking forward to reporting the changes.
Today is Wednesday, November 26, 2008. I will do this until Christmas and see how my life changes.
Give it a try with me, and chime in with your results too. If you aren’t ready to commit 5 minutes per day for 30 days to change the way you feel about life, try it for just 3 days. Just give yourself a chance. Once you sit down and focus on things to appreciate, you will find more and more and more.
Let me know how you feel in 3 days.
I appreciate you all reading this and trying this exercise with me,
Ryan Hall
